Open homes and on-site auctions are no longer banned as of this weekend! A very welcome ease of restrictions for the NSW Real Estate Industry, getting us that little bit closer to normality.
Whilst this positive news allows us a much more conventional way of showing you through our listings, the safety precautions we have implemented since Covid-19 will still be in place, including the all-important social distancing.
We will note that whilst Covid-19 remains to be circulating, despite ease of restrictions, private inspections will still be the preferred method of showing property – the safety of our clients and our team is top priority for us. Us as agents feel the importance of private inspections, as this method allows us to better connect with our buyers and ensures a more tailored approach.
In terms of our clients, there will be many sellers who prefer private inspections over open homes as well; not only will this method ensure less traffic through their home, it will give them assurance the potential buyer has been properly qualified by the agent. Highly motivated buyers will also prefer private inspections over open homes to reduce their risk and give them the proper time to view the asset they are in pursuit of.
We are just as excited to see auctions returning to our property market. Auctions clearance rates have always been a key indication of property market health, and whilst times may have been a bit uncertain over the last month or two, having proper auction results available will keep us well informed on how the overall property market is tracking along.
